Don’t forget about hover and click states
It’s easy to focus on your audience’s first encounter with your menu or buttons. However, you can also set different designs when a cursor hovers over the button and after the button has been clicked. If your audience will be returning to the same menu screen several times, use Button Memory to grey out the button already clicked.
Be ready for any device
Laptop or desktop, mobile or tablet, you never know which device your audience will be using to interact with your project. When you are adjusting button size, you are technically adjusting the percentage of the frame that your button will occupy – worth remembering when you line up your layouts.
Learn from the data
The design journey isn’t over when you click ‘Publish’. Dig into your Stornaway Analytics dashboard to see how audiences are moving through your interactive experience and use this to inform your future button design.

How to access Stornaway’s Multimedia Design Editor
Find the Multimedia Design Editor with three easy steps:
> Open your Stornaway project and select the island you wish to design.
> Open the side panel, and in the Settings and styles for all buttons section, change the Style dropdown to Custom Button Positions and select Update at the bottom of the panel.
> Return to the Settings and styles for all buttons section and click Multimedia Design Editor just below the Style dropdown.
