See the Bigger Picture

Easily visualise your audience’s engagement with an intuitive graph that displays total plays within the last 28 days at a glance. You can also see a breakdown of each variant’s data including: total number of views, minutes watched, how many continued beyond, how many reached the end or exited and more.

This clear and accessible overview allows you to quickly identify patterns and trends in viewer activity over time, helping you understand how your videos are performing as a whole.

Our ‘Variant’ table captures multiple dimensions of data, from an anonymous summary of overall views, time viewed for each video and choices made, to what individual viewers have chosen, scores and averages, and retention for each modular section.

We now have the ability to mark one or multiple Islands as “End” and “restart”, to use with our advanced decision and journey analytics.

So you can easily access the information that matters – like how many viewers or learners make it to the end of your journey.

With the retention data per island, you can learn more about where people are dropping off, what’s they are most and least interested in, and find out the proportion of viewers who Replay.

With this, you’ll have a clear understanding of what resonates with your audience. See which videos capture attention and which might need refinement, identifying key points of engagement or moments where viewers drop off.

If you’re on a Premium Plan or above, Stornaway’s Advanced Decision and Journey Analytics give you a detailed view of how viewers move through your interactive video experiences. Alongside data on modular section views, choices, and variables, you can access:

  • Video retention and drop-off data for every percentage point of each individual video, so you can see exactly where attention is held or lost.
  • Individual viewer session details, including every decision a viewer made, what they saw, and any data they entered.
  • CSV export of session data for further analysis or sharing with your team.

How to access your analytics inside Stornaway

Step 1

Go into your project and from the top menu click settings > then select analytics.

Step 2

You’ll see chart and table showing your project’s data for the last 30 days by default.

Step 3

To download your data, you can choose between:

  1. All-time analytics for the entire project
  2. A custom time range

Step 4

If you choose a custom time range:

  • Enter the start date and end date
  • Click Download CSV
