Where can I publish my Stornaway project?
Projects are published to Stornaway’s own versatile player. This can then be embedded on your website, Learning Management System (LMS), PowerPoint, or as an app through Unity and Unreal for Mobile, Steam, Consoles, VR, and Compatible VOD platforms.
For advanced options on our custom plan, you can host the player and projects on your own servers, or we can integrate our interactive editor and overlays with your existing video players and hosting.

How can I track data / measure engagement of my videos?
We understand that data holds the key to engaging your audience. Stornaway’s analytics dashboard automatically captures audience engagement data, such as video views, individual Story Island views and watch times.
However, on a Custom Plan, you can unlock information at a granular level. Stornaway offers a Player API which can track and report on specific events, such as button clicks, quiz scores and other triggers, from individual viewers. This can then be sent straight into your own systems or LMS.
Wherever your project is embedded, our API gives you full flexibility and control over how you collect and manage your data when releasing your projects.
My organisation has extremely strict data and security policies – how do I ensure compliance?
Stornaway has been designed to comply with the strictest data security policies. We already work with governments, universities, healthcare organisations and other enterprises that require total data protection and privacy compliance.
Stornaway collects no PII (Personally Identifiable Information) for videos created within our platform. While we don’t require a Stornaway login to view the videos that are created, they can be secured behind your own login or locked to a specific domain.
All viewer and project data is hosted on the widely trusted Heroku platform, in their Dublin data centres. Video files are hosted and processed in Amazon Web Services in their London data centres, and delivered via local Cloudfront servers to wherever you are in the world.
For stricter compliance requirements, our custom licences provide an on-premise player that runs entirely within your own system. This is ideal for organizations needing greater security, compliance, and data control, especially in regulated industries like healthcare, finance, or government.
Can I post my project on social media?

Do you have a limit on the number of views and how much does it cost to have lots of viewers?
Stornaway considers bandwidth rather than the number of video views.
Just because a viewer has started a video doesn’t mean they will finish it. Rather than counting views, bandwidth measures what’s actually been watched. Only the data that has been transferred is measured and included.
But what does that mean in practical terms? 99% of Stornaway creators never reach their bandwidth limits. If you’re in the lucky 1%, we’ll be in touch in plenty of time.
