We’re absolutely delighted to share that Stornaway.io has won three categories at the 22nd Annual ITVT/TVOT Leadership Awards in Montreal – believed to be the first time any single company has taken home three corporate categories in the programme’s 22-year history.

The wins span everything we care about: accessibility, creative advertising, and beautifully designed user experiences.

Here’s what we won, and the brilliant partners we made it with.

πŸ† Achievement for Furthering the Social Good – Mixmups with Ultra Access

Mixmups Ultra Access Episodes

The world’s first ultra-accessible children’s television series, made with creator Rebecca Atkinson, animation studio Mackinnon and Saunders, and Paramount for Channel 5’s Milkshake! strand, with part-funding from the British Film Institute (BFI). It’s also the first interactive content the BFI has ever been able to archive as nationally significant – made possible by Stornaway’s open Non-linear Document Format.

πŸ† Achievement in Advanced Advertising – An Advertising Tail

An Advertising Tail – Business Insider

Our Stornaway-powered interactive B2B campaign for Amazon Ads with Business Insider / Insider Studios – and the first time a content and creation platform has ever won this category, which has historically gone to US ad-tech giants like Harmonic, Comcast Advertising, DIRECTV and VIZIO.

πŸ† Most Significant Design, UI or UX – Mixmups with Ultra Access

For the dual interface inside the show: the child-facing “My Access Features” menu that lets every viewer build their own version of an episode from over 4,000 valid configurations, alongside Stornaway’s no-code Story Map editor that let a regular TV production team deliver interactive content without writing a line of code.

Stornaway is the only UK-based, founder-led, independent company in this year’s winners’ table, sharing the podium with Nielsen, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures Television, Xumo, Mediaocean, Madhive, FOX and Verizon Media’s QuickPlay Shorts.

Kate Dimbleby, CEO of Stornaway.io, said: “We designed Stornaway to unlock new technology for producers making content for a generation used to playing and interacting with their media. These awards show what can happen when creators are given the tools to innovate – and we are so delighted that our production and delivery partners had the vision to pioneer and support these new formats.”
